2 months already

 2 months

I can not believe Layton is 2 months it has gone crazy fast. We have been up to alot with christening, weddings, birthday parties and general life that just takes a hold, making time fly by.

Also had few difficult weeks with laytons, going A&E, GP and health visitor appointment. All for laytons tummy issues, colic and possible cmpa. Please read previous post for how he has been and what we have endured. Then a post for more detail information to come.

Laytons milestones:

We have another strong determined baby in our hands. He loves tummy time and holds his head right up on this arms as well now, he is even trying to roll into his tummy but gets struck on his side with his arms haha. He will push off your hands to move forwards whilst on his tummy, even moving his arms forward to go again, almost doing crawling movements. He also loves to sit and stand. He has amazing head control where he will sit for a second alone then for ages with that little support. He is also pushing to stand constantly, he wants to be up on his feet and determine to go. He loves watching his big sister dance and run around, wanting to join her.

He loves his big sister, so much so that Ariyah got Layton first real smile too. He always smiles and looks for her. It's very cute.

He started to really babble and coo noises now, he is a chatter box when he gets going. He like to lay on his play mat talking to the toys and looking in the mirror. He got very good coordination now as he swots the toys and kicks them, he is very accurate and managed to hit and grab them. He grabs and holds our fingers, grabs for his dummy or blanket to. He very cuddles as well, snuggling in to us and his fluffy blankets. Just like his dada he has to have a fluffy blanket and likes it tucked right up feeling it on his face.

Sleep- he went into the little crib, that's swings which our friend gave us around 6 weeks old because he was wiggling so much in his sleep and waking himself. Also as their was not much room at the side of our beds it meant having the Moses basket took up so much space and we would wake him when we moved in our sleep. Therefore the crib helped as he had more room. However as he is tall and got long limbs like his sister, he then began to out grow the crib as it is narrow. He would get his arms in the bars and bang on them waking himself. Therefore we moved bedrooms with ariyah, meaning we were able to have the space to put up the big cot into our room, so by 9 weeks he was sleeping in the cot. He loved it!. He looked so small but at least he will get used to being in it and he has so much room.

He loves bigger kids, when we go to baby groups he lives to be looking around watching ariyah and the others run and play. He loves his big cousins who are all 4,5&6. He will watch them and smile the biggest smiles at them all. He such a people baby. Just loves the attention and is very content and happy with others holding him. We realised he likes men with dark feature and beards. He will stare at our best friends how have dark hair and beards mesmerised by them. His little eye wide open staring. He starting to get particular favourites with toys and blankets so we are seeing his little personality come to life now. As he chats, smiles and almost laughing away. He seems to have a very cheeky sense oh humour already, which ariyah was and still is the same. He also like playing peekaboo and loves a mirror.
